It's been a while
since I've posted an update. I've been super busy with holidays, events and
trying to catch up from all of them. I've done my best to keep up and am to a
point where I can finally catch up and share it on here!
October was busy! I
tried to catch up on filming and enjoy the fall weather. My parents made it
back from Italy, with some gorgeous souvenirs, I mean obsessed. We hosted an
entire episode of Simply Southern from the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, GA. It
was my first trip to the event and wow, if you have the opportunity to go, GO.
It's 100 acres of equipment, test plots, information and people that love
agriculture. I attended Pork & Cork with some wonderful college friends!
The College of Ag Alumni brought in local farmers, restaurants and wineries who
based their meals off pork products. Pork belly, pork fat ice cream, pork
hearts & liver sloppy joes… YES I ATE THEM, and yes they were good. Any day
I get to catch up with my college friends, professors and make new friends is a
good day. Needless to say, I’ll definitely be attending their next event, Birds
& Brews, in Fall 2016!

November was filled
with finishing up filming for Simply Southern. The new episodes started the
first of January, and December is always packed with meetings so we try to get done early! We finished up tailgating for the
football games at Auburn which I'm so thankful for. When my company and
university join together, it's always a good time. Thanksgiving brought more
good laughs and too much food, but over the years I've learned to wear stretchy
pants to the table and it's one of the best decisions I've made.

December started off
with the Alabama Farmers Federation Annual Meeting where I represented AFC as a
sponsor for the event. It's always an honor to be involved with such a great
group of people and industry leaders. I handed out hundreds of caps and plenty
of rain gauges & thermometers. We fit Dad's company Christmas party in
there somewhere and enjoyed lots of dancing and photo booth fun. The second
week started our December Booking Show, which is one of my favorite events
because everyone gets together and has a chance to catch up. It takes a lot of
work to put on an event like this, so it's rewarding to see it come to life and
be a success. December ended with some much needed vacation time. I spent time
with my family, caught up on some sleep and focused on getting ready for a new
year with new goals. Christmas morning started with a flooded creek and a foot
of water in our yard but I was overly blessed and happy to spend time with
family. My parents pretty much brought Italy home from their trip this fall!
New leather purse, glass blown rings, red coral jewelry, oh my! But we enjoyed
spending a few days with each other relaxing and eating entirely too much food. 2015 ended with a full and grateful heart, and for that I'm thankful.
