Cheers!
2016 was a whirlwind to say the least.
115 nights
115 nights
42 events
26 episodes
10 flights
8 states
3 beaches
1 house
This past year I traveled to more places, met more people and made more memories than I can really count. I spent a third of my year in a hotel or friends house, averaged almost one event per week and one flight per month. Filming took me all over the state, events took me all over the country and both allowed me to do things I never thought I'd get to do like release a hawk from a rehabilitation center, help raise over $2,500 for breast cancer research and fly a drone over the state's largest earthen dam. I danced at weddings, ahh'd at baby showers, cheered at football games and laughed at birthday parties. I got accepted into the ALFA Leaders program, became an Ag Mentor for the College of Agriculture and served my second year on the board of directors for the Council of Cooperatives. I built a house, had a housewarming party and made my house a home with the love and support of my sweet friends and family.
2016 is going to be hard to beat, but bring it on 2017.
Here's to the year of focusing less on the bad and more on the good, being grateful for each opportunity that presents itself, taking advantage of the lessons learned the hard way and staying humble through it all.
