Once a year, our employees, quality co-op store managers and board members, special guests, joint ventures and subsidiaries get together for an Annual Meeting. This year was AFC's 78th Annual Meeting which was held at the Renaissance in Mongomery. Back in October, a team got together to come up with a theme and a plan for the meeting. After brainstorming and throwing around ideas, everyone settled on:
'Many Voices, One Vision'
There may be a lot of diversity, opinions and methods throughout our entire company, but we all have the same vision:
"To be a relationship driven partner integrating vital resources to ensure our members/farmers success."
Once the theme was chosen, we had to get to work on the details of the entire event that usually hosts 500 people. What better graphic to use for Many Voices, One Vision than the pictures of our employees from each branch making up the AFC logo? One problem, we are all spread out across the state. So a co-worker and I packed up the camera, background and lights and headed out. We drove to Union Springs and photographed all of our Bonnie Plant employees that were available. Frank Currie Gin in Atmore was next, and in full swing. Then back up to Tuscaloosa where we stopped by our Southfresh feed mill and processing plant. We not only got to meet and take photos of all of our employees that we don't see regularly (or hardly ever), but we got tours of each place. The biggest thing I took away from this was how happy everyone was. They had a smile on their face and many were multi-generation families working together. Sometimes in a company so big, it's hard to feel like your voice matters or makes a difference. Thankfully, we are blessed with a wonderful CEO who makes sure that every one of our employees knows how vital they are to this operation. Working for a company that values hard work and family values is hard to come by. I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with some of the most passionate and knowledgeable people and serve our customers and farmers the best we can.

We also had picture day in Decatur for all of our main office, Feed, Farm and Home, Grain divison and Agri-AFC employees.
There may have been some food bribery..
We got our quality co-op store and outside sale employees pictures at our December Booking Show. We ended up with 450 pictures for the final product. This was the cover of our programs & invitations.
(It's small, our poster for the office hasn't come in yet)

Along with the theme, we chose gifts, entertainment and secretly, Manager of the Year. The MOY was announced at the banquet dinner Wednesday night, along with service awards for years of service to AFC. It was a fun meeting, as is every time everyone gets together. Pictures probably explain it better than words, so here ya go...
